For family home evening the lesson was on being more aware of Christ. We had a week without tv, wii, movies, things like that. The idea was that if you thought about doing one of those things you should instead do something nice for someone else. Serving one another. It was hard for me, I'll admit it. (not the serving part) No E-mail, or a movie after lunch for Dallin, or checking to see if my checks had gone through.
After a week we talked about our experiences. After listening for a bit, I don't think we accomplished the objective. Olivia's comment sums up the actual lesson, "I learned not to think about it so I wouldn't have to do something nice!"
F.H.E is a work in progress! I found this picture on my camera and I can assure you the lesson about toilet plungers was much more effective. . . It was the SICK factor that got the message across!
I'm not sure how to combine these lessons.

I think that is very cool that you went without for a week. That would be a challenge for me.

Love what kids say!
I think I know why we are friends...
