Olivia had to do a science career in a box. She chose to be a Whale Scat Researcher.
Things she learned:
Scat is poop.
Whale poop feeds a lot of creatures in the ocean.
Dogs can smell it better so they bring dogs on the boats.
Dogs can also smell cancer and other disorders in humans.
You can find out which whale it is, if it's pregnant, male/female, if it's sick, what it's been eating, even if it is stressed.
Clothes pins hurt your nose, but they work!

I had to laugh out loud at the pictures of the men in the boat with the bucket. What put that project in her head? You guys have some funny kids. How is life in Tennessee?
Hey there you HILLBILLY!!!! How's those Tennessee hills treating you? You are so dang close to where we used to live!!! SO JEALOUS!!! We miss it so much! Too bad we were not still there. Funny enough we are pretty dang close to where you used to live up here in Michigan. IRONIC!
