Olivia is in cross country and just qualified for state! She came in 55th but, there were only 4 sixth graders in front of her running the 1.95 mile course.
It was a fun to watch because we got to see her 4 times and cheer.Go OLIVIA Go!Final State Time in the 2 mile on Varsity:
233 Thomas, Olivia Unattached 16:47.72 I was hoping she made Jr. Varsity, then she would have been 25th with this time, and being that close to the front I think she could have pushed herself a little more. She is happy to have the season over with. I might be a bit competitive, but I was surprised at the parents that were REALLY into it! I just said, "Go have fun, run like the wind." Some people were yelling and getting all crazy. I felt sorry for those girls, if my parents yelled at me like that I would burst into tears! I'm just glad she did it, that is hard work! If you can push yourself to do something that is hard now, you can push yourself to accomplish anything you want.
