On our way home from shopping Makayla let out a horrific scream. I thought she had been really hurt, I turned around and asked what was wrong. In between sobs she told me Kade had taken her gum. Yes, he was now chewing her gum. "Kade," I said, "that wasn't very nice." He complained, but gave it back. (That is not what I had in mind.) But, she promptly quit sobbing and chewed her gum! I guess the lesson she learned was: Don't take gum out of your mouth or your brother will steal it.
This is funny to me because Kade is going through one one of those stages where "Germs" are bad! He won't drink out of the same cup or eat off the same plate. Everything must be his own, even popcorn. I don't like sharing "Germs" either but, A.B.C. Gum! ? ! . . . what would make him think he wouldn't get "Germs" from that? I guess the lesson learned here was: If you want something bad enough you can overcome any disgusting thing.
I'm sure everybody has an ABC story. . . I do have worse!

I love those alphabet letters! Very cute paint job....
Hmmm, ABC, I thought the post was going to be dedicated to Addie, Bryson & Cait. That is pretty gross (the gum thing, not Addie, Bryson, & Caitlin).
I love the post! What is wrong with ABC gum?? Just kidding, I wouldn't want to chew it either! Hope you had a great birthday! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I remember going through a time in elementary where it was so cool to chew A.B.C. gum!!
That was a nice brother--chewing up the gum for his sister, making it softer for her. Such a little gentleman.
How 'bout this one. This last week, in fact, I was taking a walk with my little two year old Jayla and my daycare girl Andreya (5). Jayla started screaming and sobbing but I couldn't quite make out what she was saying. Before I could do anything Andreya bites off a piece of her gum and hands it to Jayla, who promptly pops it in her mouth, stops crying and continues to walk on. What was I to do, too late to make her spit it out, so I just told Andreya thank you for sharing.
I just hate dusty abc gum but after a while the crunch goes away.
At least thats my experience!
